How to Host a Vision Board Party

Create the Ultimate Vision Board

Setting Goals

I wrote the following post two years ago. I completed some of my goals on my vision board. I lost weight and feel great. I focused more on my blog. I got out more on road trips and gained more faith and confidence in myself. This morning inspired me, and I added more things to my vision board. You don’t have to wait until the new year to start your goals. You have the power inside you to unlock your full potential right now!

Create your own path

Start today! If you don’t have the following materials to create your board. Get a piece of paper and write down things you want to achieve. Another way to make a vision board is to go digital! Go to Canva.com and make your vision board. Create videos, attach your photos, and make your dreams a reality.

Overcome your fears, get inspired, and reach for the stars.

Hosting My First Vision Board Party

I had the pleasure of hosting my first Vision Board party. I’m excited to share the great tools that helped me manifest my goals and dreams. I have new goals and am ready to share them with others. We set goals, and either we follow them or we forget them. I’m not perfect, and following goals is a struggle for me. Life can get busy, and finding time can be challenging, but we can make it happen.

Every January, a New Year’s Resolution list is made, and those goals are often forgotten by March. I read some great books that helped me list and prioritize my plans. In the digital age, most, if not all, of these books are available for free on YouTube. You can also create a solo Vision Board without a group. Follow the steps I’ll list. Men can also do a Vision Board, minus the arts and crafts. Get a notebook, write down your goals, and follow the same steps below. Vision Boards are great for kids, too.

It doesn’t matter how old you are. We can change our destiny.

I received everything I asked for after keeping a journal where I detailed my goals in life and my desire for a new job. Inspired by motivational books I was given, I felt empowered to pursue what I truly wanted. My enthusiasm grew to the point where I became a walking motivational speaker, sharing my positivity widely. Although I know my energetic speeches may have annoyed some people, I believe everyone can achieve their goals if they remain dedicated. Consistency is key.

Vision board, goals

I recently wrote down some new goals and decided to revisit my beginning stages. To support others in starting their journeys, I’m hosting a Vision Board Party. Many of the books that helped me prioritize and learn the key elements of success are available at the library or bookstore, or you can listen to them on YouTube.

MOTIVATIONAL BOOKS

  • The Secret Rhonda Byrne
  • The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace D. Wattles
  • The Essence of Success Earl Nightingale
  • The Power of Habit Charles Duhigg
  • Eat That Frog! 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastination and Get More Done, Brian Tracy.

Make a Guest List

Choose a suitable location for your party, ensuring there is enough space for guests to spread out comfortably. When preparing your boards, have magazines and supplies ready. I used Canva to create my invitations and printouts, which are available at https://www.canva.com/.

Vision Board Supplies

SUPPLIES

I purchased supplies from the Dollar Store (also known as Dollar Tree), where I found cool decorations for my daughter’s Vision Board. Walmart also had a great selection of crafts.

  • Foam Poster Board
  • Glue Sticks for Guests (I prefer Elmer’s glue stick)
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Magazines (Cut out words or images)
  • Motivational Print Outs ( Send me your email for free adult and children motivational printouts)
  • Glitter Glue (optional)

FOOD

Be mindful of your guests’ allergies. I prepared cheese, olives, chips, and dip. I asked the guest to bring wine or dessert. We served baked lasagna and salad. Water, seltzer, ginger ale, and wine were offered. Please avoid greasy foods, as they can create messes on your boards. My guests ate beforehand. The magazines and poster boards took up space, so preventing any food spillage is advisable.

GETTING STARTED

I had guests introduce themselves. I had each person tell everyone what they did for a living and what their goals were. As guests arrived, I had them do the same. I handed out a Goals Worksheet so that the guests knew where to start: Family Goals, Inspirational Word for the Year, Financial Goals, Career Goals, and Physical Goals.

  • Ensure you have sufficient space for the board and comfortable seating for your guests.
  • Remind guests what a Vision Board is and how to create one.
  • If you’re doing your Vision Board alone, complete your goal worksheet and visualize your goals. Then, picture yourself acting on your goals and achieving them.
  • Go through your magazines and cut out images or inspirational quotes that appeal to you. Next, cut out your vision board quotes that match your goal. Finally, paste all your cutouts on your board.
  • Use a Photo of yourself (optional)
  • Some may not finish their vision boards during the party. Let guests know it’s ok if you don’t quit. I asked guests to complete them at home and send me their pictures.
  • If guests finish their boards, ask them to share them with the group
  • Please take a Photo of your Vision Board and use it as a screensaver to remind you of your goals.
  • Place your Vision Board somewhere you will see it every day
  • Please start with the small goals you want and cross them off once you complete them.
  • Don’t overwhelm yourself. Start with one goal on your list and set a deadline for its completion. Use your phone to set daily reminders.

I enjoyed a fun evening with a great group of women. We shared dreams and goals that we would accomplish. I said we are here to build one another up and help one another grow. We are strong women, and although life gets busy, we must start making time for ourselves. You have already taken the first step by reading this article.

You’re ready to make a change. Close your eyes and visualize how you will feel when you have completed your goals. Celebrate your achievements once you reach your goals. Reach out to friends or family if you get stuck or lose motivation. Could you read the following books I suggested? They were great when I doubted myself.

My book, Let Yourself Bloom: Affirmations to Nourish Your Spirit, along with its accompanying guided journal and coffee-table edition, is designed to fill your space—and your spirit—with daily encouragement. Each page is a gentle reminder to pause, reflect, and let yourself bloom—inside and out.
